Shocking movie. "Abducted Childhood" about the kidnapping of Ukrainian children by Russia was presented to the Ambassadors of the EU member states in Argentina

On September 21, in Buenos Aires, the EU Representation in Argentina showed the documentary film "Abducted Childhood" about the kidnapping of Ukrainian children by Russia from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The firm was created by the video production of the Ukrainian media Online.UA for the International Children's Day.

The screening took place within the framework of the meeting of the Ambassador of the EU delegation to Argentina, Amador Sanchez Rico, with the diplomatic corps of the EU countries, with the participation of the Ambassador of Ukraine to Argentina, Yury Klymenko. The meeting was held with the assistance of the NGO "Center for Transatlantic Dialogue" initiative.

In the documentary "Abducted Childhood", children and their parents share their own stories. Some of them were in captivity in the Russian Federation, some were forcibly taken to a rehabilitation camp, some were separated from their parents during the so-called filtering measures organized by the Russian army.

The Online.UA team created a Spanish-language version of the film to spread information about the war crimes of Putin and the Russians among Latin American audiences with the participation of Zhanna Chuchman, Oleksandr Slivchuk and the Mart Sound recording studio.

Among the Ambassadors of the EU member states were diplomatic representatives of Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Ireland, Hungary, Belgium, Spain, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Austria, Romania, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Finland, Croatia, France, Slovenia, Germany and Portugal.

After watching the film, Ambassador of Ukraine Yuriy Klymenko and representatives of the NGO "Center for Transatlantic Dialogue" appealed to EU diplomats to increase assistance to Ukraine in the matter of returning young Ukrainians home as soon as possible.

For Children's Day in 2023, the Online.UA team presented the documentary project "Abducted Childhood", which tells the story of Ukrainian children kidnapped to Russia.

During more than a year and a half of full-scale war, Ukraine was able to return less than 400 children. At the same time, Russia claims to have "evacuated" 744,000 Ukrainian children. Since diplomacy with the aggressor country does not work, Russia continues to kidnap children from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
